BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - UAB Medicine has launched an online service for treating common diseases this week, the first of its kind in Alabama. According to a UAB post on Monday, a service called UAM eMedicine is available for adults 18 years of age and older in Birmingham and the surrounding area.
The service can help patients with a wide range of common diseases, from colds, flu and allergies to pink eye and bladder infections.
The service “will provide our patients with convenient access to medical care that was never previously available in Alabama,” Will Ferniani, Director General of UAB Health System, said in a press release.
